CJMC is the only college in Nepal specializing in journalism, mass communication and media studies.
We are proud to say that we are the leading journalism institution in the country. We are pioneer to run Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication, Bachelor’s in Journalism and Mass Communication and Master’s in Development Communication at the same time.
We have country’s first student-run FM station – CJMC FM 106 MHz.
We have strong international networking, each year we send students to SAARC countries to teach/study journalism and mass media.
We are the only academic institution in Nepal to run a joint Master’s degree programme in media, journalism and mass communication in partnership with five other universities based in South Asia. The degree is hosted by the Dhaka University in Bangladesh and funded by the Norwegian government.
Nearly 80 per cent of our students are mainstream journalists, communicators and development workers.
